Professor Karen-Leigh Edward is a Registered Nurse (RN/BN) with a post graduate degree in psychology and a PhD in Health Science. She is the Professor of Nursing and Practice Based Research at Swinburne University of Technology located in Melbourne Australia. Prof Edward is a mental health expert and an implementation scientist, translating knowledge to the clinical practice reality. She has authored over 160 publications (85 in the past 5 years), including 4 books and 16 book chapters. Prof Edward’s current research program involves both national and international interdisciplinary research collaborations related to resilience and adaptation and physical and mental well being in the acute healthcare setting.
